WatchOS 7.4 - Cannot Install Apps

Hi,

I just updated my iPhone XR to iOS 14.5 and Watch Series 3 GPS (Nike) to watchOS 7.4. Before updating the watch, I had to reset it because of insufficient storage.

After finished setting it up, I tried to reinstall some of my apps (I turned off auto-install during the setup) with the Watch app on my iPhone. The spinning indicator got back to ‘install’ text just 1-2 seconds after I tap install, so I was failed to install any app.

I’ve tried everything I can think of, restart the bluetooth process, restart the Watch app, reboot both my iPhone and watch numerous times but they don’t solve it. My last step was to unpair then pair the watch again, but still having the same problem.

I tried to install manually through App Store on the watch, but it seems like I don’t have purchased apps (both free and paid) then it just like I have to buy the paid apps again. I only have one Apple ID and I’m sure both my iPhone and watch (and all my Apple devices) use the same ID.

Please help me, if it possible I’d like to avoid reset or pairing it again because it’s a very slow process.

Thanks in advance.

Turns out I had failed payment method on the App Store. So I had to update it and paired the Watch again.

It solved now. I wish there are some warning messages so I got to know the problem faster.
