iMessage notification is coming in white, and not the normal green

So I recently noticed over the last day or so that anytime I receive a text message from another iphone user not, the notification is coming in white. I have tried playing around with different settings, but nothing seems to fix it. Any thoughts?

See the attached picture.

Hello Brooks_707.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It looks like your iMessage notification icon is showing up with a white icon instead of the green icon for iMessages. We can understand how this would be an issue. Allow us to investigate this issue and assist in any way we can.

Ever since this issue started to occur, have you been able to force close the Messages app and restart your device to see if that helps?

You can also try toggling off and on your notifications for your messages by going to Settings > Notifications > Messages > Allow Notifications. Also, Apple has just released a new iOS 14.5 version. If you haven't yet, we recommend that you create a backup of your data and update your device to the latest iOS version. Keeping your device fully updated can help resolve various issues and help with overall performance. Just in case, the link below can guide you through the update process:

We hope this information is useful. Cheers.
