Apple TV 4K

Hi, I will be buying an Apple TV 4K (new version), was wanting to know can I connect it to my Sony atmos soundbar, shortage of hdmi sockets mean I have to pass it through the soundbar, just wanted to make sure it would work.

You can connect the Apple TV's HDMI cable to the TV, then connect a optical cable (example shown below) to the TV's optical cable output port and connect to your soundbar's Optical cable input port. Below is an example of an optical cable from Amazon:
