Model numbers: A2342 (United States), A2410 (Canada, Japan), A2412 (China mainland, Hong Kong, Macao), A2411 (other countries and regions)

The A-models are the products offered for sale, and the M-models are the specific devices shipped.


You buy an A, you get a box containing an M.


The A is the same for many iPhone 12 Pro Max devices, while the M models vary—there can be one A and thirty or fifty different M numbers, depending on the particular details.

Or easier than chasing down the M model code, visit the Apple website or—if the Apple Store or an Apple reseller is open where you are—visit the store and have a look around at what is available, and order what you want.
