iPad Pro 2018 - USB-C port stopped working after upgrading to iPadOS 14.5

I upgraded my iPad Pro 2018 to iPadOS 14.5. After restarting with the new version of the iPadOS, a windows popped up saying the Thunderbolt port was not supported. After that, I was not able to connect the IPad to my MacBook Pro to restore the operating system and, even worse, I was not able to charge the iPad. The USB-C port stopped working.

Have anyone had a similar issue?

hc111,

Thanks for addressing my issue but I guess I did not describe my issue very well.

My issue was that the iPad Pro did not recognize its USB-C port and it was not charging or connecting to my computer or any external device.

I took it to the Genius Bar and they determined the USB-C port was damaged and they replaced my iPad Pro.

Excellent service by the way!

Thanks!

Hey there, REPG!

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities! If we understand correctly, you're seeing an error regarding an accessory not being supported on your iPad. We'd be happy to lend a hand so you can get connected again!

To confirm, does this happen when using another accessory with your iPad? What about after you restart your iPad? If the error persists, use the following support article to troubleshoot and get your iPad connecting again:
