Apple Music, wi-fi, & VPN not working after upgrade to iOS 14.5 on iPhone X

I upgraded my iPhone X to 14.5 this morning. As soon as I did, the wi-fi & VPN appeared to stop working. When I try to listen to music, it only plays songs physically stored on my phone. Playlists that contain a mix of songs will only play the ones on the phone already. It will not download new ones, even when cellular downloads are enabled. The error message says it is not connected to the server. It will however play Apple Music radio stations just fine. When I check wi-fi under settings, it says I’m connected. We have 3 home wi-fi networks & all seems fine. When I turn off cellular data & go on wi-fi only, it looks on the Home Screen like it’s not connected. However, all apps that are not Apple Music or News work just fine with this invisible wi-fi quasi-connection. It seems to me the issue is entirely code & obviously caused by the upgrade to 14.5. I’m open to suggestions or workarounds. Hopefully they’ll get this patched soon, but from what I’ve read, that’s not always Apples MO when something like this happens. Sometimes they deny deny deny & try to hope it goes away… BTW, I also upgraded my iPad Air this morning. It works just fine on wi-fi only & there are absolutely no issues with music or news.
