My first ever iPhone, the 12 mini is going 4 months and on my first 3 weeks the paint on the camera started to peel off. Any owners of 12 mini who has the same issue?
I bought a camera protector so I can hide the white spots since it’s so obvious.
I’m kind of disappointed ngl.

I have the same problem on my iPhone 12 (black) - Camera ring paint peeling off and it has small bumps on it.
I talked to someone from apple chat support they said that I have to schedule for someone from apple technician to check on my device if this is a factory defect or cosmetic damage. I would like to know if I'd just be wasting my time going to have my phone checked and just get an "oh, we cant do anything with your phone blah blah blah" answer, or is it worth giving it a shot?
I just wanna find out cause before going to have it checked you have to back up your iPhone and do a lot of stuff.

I first noticed it when it was about 3-4 weeks old. Here's a photo of it, which started with the inner part of the camera.
My phone is now 5 months old. I just bought a Rhinoshield camera protector to hide the coating issue.
