Using a NIKON Super Coolscan 5000 ED

The NIKON Scan CD is not readable in my iMac (High Sierra, 10.13.6) nor on my MacBook Pro. Image Capture does not identify the Coolscan 5000 as a device. Nikon USA has not responded to my inquiry.

Does anyone have a suggestion for software that will work?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13
