How to avoid Mail app syncing all folders in Exchange account

Hi! I wanted to ask this: I have an Exchange account with about 15 GB of emails distributed in many folders. I use this account on the Mail app in Big Sur, but I was wondering if I can make the app only to sync the Inbox or sync only headers so the local storage doesn't get as affected.

In Exchange accounts there isn't the option to limit 1000 items sync as in IMAP accounts.

Thanks

Rodrigo

Hello Rodrigo,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We see that you are trying to sync your Exchange mail account on your Mac but are not wanting it to sync all of the mail, is that right?

We would love to help!

Exchange accounts only have the option to sync all of the mail rather than a certain number in the Mail app on the Mac at this time.

If you’d like to leave feedback for this feature to be added to the Mac you can go to Feedback - Mail - Apple.

Does that answer your question?

Have a great day!
