Will a iphone 12 reduce latency with bluetooth instruments vs. an iphone XR??

I just bought the pocketdrum bluetooth drum sticks by Aeroband and they are lots of fun. So much in fact that I'm thinking about using them in my shows as a musician in Austin. But the bluetooth latency with GarageBand iOS on my iPhone XR is just barely tolerable. I'm told that bluetooth latency when using and a Mac is nil but I need to be able to use my phone.

I'm wondering if I upgrade to a iphone12 (currently have an iPhone XR) if the bluetooth instrument latency will be significantly reduced. I see the 12 has a faster processor than the XR so I'm hoping it will reduce the latency. Can anyone confirm??

The answer is likely no, The iPhone XR and 12/12 Pro all share the same bluetooth 5.0 Chip. It might be a few MS faster because of the processor but most of it is the Bluetooth Antenna.

Thank you. I just tested an iPhone 12 directly against my XR and you are correct. There is no noticeable improvement in latency. I did notice they both have the bluetooth 5.0 chip so I was curious if that was the limiting factor. Thank you for confirming it.

I just saw they make a "wood" version of these same sticks that look real and are not oddly shaped like the light up ones I posted a picture of. I may switch them out for these stealthy "wood" ones. I'm really impressed with this gadget. If they can fix the latency issue completely, (which it sounds like they have a fix in the works), these will be a riot.
