Unable to load login page on bank websites

I have an early 2013 MacBook Pro, macOS Mojave 10.14.6

After a recent update I can't load any webpages to login to my bank accounts. I can't upgrade to Big Sur as MacBook is too old. This seems to be the only option when I click on the suggested upgrade macOS Catalina.

Can anyone help please?

Some financial and other interactive sites may require users/customers to allow cookies, popup windows and cross-site tracking

1. Enable cookies

Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Website tracking:

Uncheck the box beside “Prevent cross-site Tracking

Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and website data:

Uncheck the box beside Block all cookies

    For details:   https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/safari/sfri35610/mac

2. Some websites may ask a user  to allow pop-up windows.

    Visit the site.

    Safari > Preferences > Websites > Pop-up windows

Click the box next to website and choose “Allow”.

    For details: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/safari/ibrwe2159f50/mac

Note: This is a privacy feature. Once transaction is over, set this back to defaults.

Hi

For me, the security update this week Security Update 2021 - 002 caused the same issue. Unchecking "Prevent Cross Site Tracking" in Preferences fixed the issue. However, it leaves all other websites able to cross site track until it is checked again - not ideal or preferred. .

The website in question for me worked fine with Prevent Cross Site Tracking enabled up until the security update was applied.

Interestingly, preferring to do the security update first and the Safari 14.1 update second, I unchecked the Safari update box and ran the security update. Afterward, the Safari update was no longer offered in the update list. After checking, my version of Safari still shows as 14.0.3. No explanation for this at the moment.

macOS 10.15.7

Security Update 2021 - 002

Safari 14.0.3

Cheers

Jeff

I have had the same issue since installing the security and Safari updates (I have not yet upgraded to Big Sur). I'm assuming Safari is working on this and will give us an update soon that fixes this issue (I hope??!!). In the meantime, I have been using Firefox for the bank websites and that still works fine, so maybe try using that in the meantime...
