Vertical black band on MacBook Air Screen

This end to end vertical black line (width of around an inch) suddenly appeared on my 2019 model MacBook Air 2019. I went for lunch and when I came back my screen had this. How do I fix this? Strangely it is not appearing on the screenshot.

Hello, It sounds like the display panel is broken. You will have to go take it in for repair, if you have Apple Care+ it will be covered and will be replaced free of charge. If not Apple will give you a quoted price of how much it will cost to repair. You can call Apple at 1 (800) 263-3394 or go to Support.apple.com and you can do a live chat via iMessage or on their Website to schedule a repair.

Cheers!
