Brother HL-5470DW compatibility with Big Sur 11.3

Can't use printer after upgrading to Big Sur 11.3. Brother not providing solution since 10.5 driver is not compatible. Never, never, never, automatically upgrade OS again. Never, never, never, buy Brother printers again (2nd printer left stranded by Brother). Despite being a loyal Apple computer user since 1985, seriously consider other platforms!!!!!!

When networked, the Brother HL-5470DW is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint with no need for vendor software or drivers.

With the device powered, visit System Preferences > Printers & Scanners. Right-click on the HL-5470DW printer icon, choosing Reset printing system… from the secondary menu. This will temporarily remove the printer entry, pop open a Bonjour discovery panel indicating that it detected this device on your network. Select the printer in that panel, and during the re-add process, choose AirPrint as your driver choice. Do a test print.
