Try View > Show Filter Field, and use the new filed that appears at the upper right.

Similar questions

Searching songs in playlist. It appears that you can no longer search for songs in a playlist. You have to go to "Songs" or "Artists" to use the search bar. This seems like unnecessary additional steps. What a step backwards for the software.
