The Apple-Silicon M1 supports ONE display up to 6K resolution. It should have no trouble with the LG 5120 by 2880 at 60 Hz over thunderbolt or USB-C cables, EXCEPT: the cable that ships with the Mac is a Charge-only cable, and can not possibly run ANY high speed peripherals.
