FaceTime for all users

Bought a 3 generation iPad for Grandma so she could FaceTime everyone, not all have iPhones and now realize this one does not support it! Also cannot support Facebook.

How new of iPad do we need to get that will do that.

Hello GrandmaIPad,

Thanks for connecting with us. We understand that you’ve purchased an iPad (3rd generation) and your Grandmother is unable to use features such as, FaceTime and Facebook. This iPad model is obsolete and she may not be able to download certain apps. Please click here for more details: Obtaining service for your Apple product after an expired warranty

If you’re needing to use Group FaceTime, she will need iOS 12.1.4 or later, or iPadOS on one of these devices as shown in the article here: Use Group FaceTime on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

FaceTime can be used on an iPad (3rd generation), please click here for more detail: Use FaceTime with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks for reaching out. Stay safe and well!
