Apple carplay iphone 12 pro ios14 CRASH - honda accord 2017

I have seen this issue all over reddit and other forums and it is absolutely ridiculous that both honda and apple are doing nothing about it.

I recently bought this car just for the fact that it has apple carplay and all it does is crash all the time. It is unbelievably dangerous as i use navigation with carplay and the entire thing will shut down and i have to turn the car entirely off for it to work again. This is so dangerous and apple needs to address this or offer a fix.


I have tried restarting and factory reseting everything. Reinstalling apps. Everything i could find on the forums and the problem still persists. help please!!

I have absolutely no issues with Car Play in two different cars. But if I did, I know it's up to the car manufacturer to resolve any issues with the head unit in their cars. Your car may need an update from Honda to be compatible with iOS 14.x. Contact Honda for assistance. Apple is not responsible for the connection in a car sold in 2017. The manufacturer of the car is responsible for ensuring their system works with the API's Apple provides them.
