Why is Apple Music/iTunes Store not recognizing my prior iTunes purchases?

So, I keep doing research to try to figure out why, with most up-to-date iOS on iPhone (14.5) and OS on MBP (11.3), I can't get my playlists to sync between them. Finally, discovered that Apple Music/iTunes Store is not recognizing my prior iTunes purchases, even though those purchases are still documented in Apple's database. Screenshots below of one example. Purchased three Hooters songs in 2020, documented, but when I open iTunes Store and look at list of "Purchased" they don't show up. I think this might be affecting my playlist sync problem. Anyone have any thoughts at all??? I'll be really thankful for help.

HI David,

That is indeed strange. The usual reasons a song would not show up for redownload is if you bought it on a different account, the song is no longer available, or the available version is not recognized as being the same as the one you bought (due to remaster, etc). If those don't apply, there may well be a glitch.

However, since you have backup copies of those purchased audio files, you can just add them back into your library. That is actually the more reliable approach than depending on the re-download.

Thanks, ed2345, for the suggestions...I do have copies of all purchased music both on my laptop and on a backup drive. The problem is still that iTunes doesn't identify past purchases. Notice in the screenshot above that were I to want to re-download The Hooters, per the link that you attached, Apple Music is currently not identifying them as purchased. So, they wouldn't be available for re-download as purchases, anyway, even though there is obvious documentation in the database that they were purchased.

Now, if you want to see something even more bizarre, I am attaching three screenshots here from my iTunes Store on my phone (iPhone Xs iOS 14.5 just updated, after which all this started). In the first one, it's plainly visible that I would have to pay for "And we Danced" for $1.29. In the second shot, it shows that I have indeed already purchased "And We Danced". And in the third shot--also from the iTunes Store showing my list of purchases, The Hooters does not appear among the list of artists whose work I have purchased. My list of "Purchased songs" is only about 60, according to the iTunes Store list reflected by the third screenshot below. In reality, my purchases run in the hundreds. At this point, I'm assuming it's a software glitch that will have to get fixed with an update, but I haven't found any internet chatter of someone else having this problem yet. So, again, if I'm missing something I'm definitely open to suggestions. Thanks!
