Macbook default boots into Boot Camp partition, which I can't remove

Hi,

My MacBook Pro by default boots into an old Boot Camp partition, where there is no windows installed and it just lands on a blue recovery screen. I option-boot into OS X Big Sur, and opened Boot Camp Assistant to remove the Boot Camp Partition, but I do not see any option to remove it, only the option to make a new partition and install Windows:

Is there any other way to delete the Boot Camp? My Startup Disk settings also do not show the Bootcamp partition:

If you remove Windows using Disk Utility, not Bootcamp Assistant, this leaves behind files which can cause this issue. You will need to check for a Microsoft directory in the EFI partition and delete it. If you need detailed steps, please ask.

Hi, Thanks. I didn't see any Bootcamp partition in Disk Utility, so I tried this to remove the EFI Partition, but now the computer goes into an endless reboot cycle, showing the Apple Logo, then restarting, until I press Option, and I manually select my Mac OS volume to boot into. If you have any further tips I would be grateful for them.

If you remove anything other than the Microsoft directory, you will cause issues. You must also run a SMC and NVRAM Reset after you delete the Microsoft directory.
