Video from phone into Powerpoint

We understand that when adding an image to the Powerpoint app, half the picture is showing black. 

Here’s something to try to isolate the issue. 

You called this image a video picture. Let’s consider where this video picture came from. If you’re taking screenshots of a video, or pulling out a frame of a video, let’s try using a still image. That’s going to help us know whether the issue is specific to a certain format. 

Also, it looks like you’re using an iPhone 6 Plus. Please be sure it is up to date as well as the Powerpoint app.
