iPhone would not charge past 80% even Optimized Battery Charging is off

Hi, I bought my iPhone 12 Pro Max just 4 days ago. I have noticed that it would never charge past 80% even though the Optimized Battery Charging option is turned off. I have never seen it reach 90 to 100% since I got it. I have also updated to the latest iOS version available, but nothing changed. Could it be that there is a defect on my iPhone?

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Hello! JJRASC. I am facing the same problem with EanneVillas. My IP 11 with IOS 14.5 can’t charge to 100, its stuck around 80-90 even i try to charge overnight (last night it stuck at 83%) and shut off optimized battery charging (battery health 100), any suggestions ?

ps. It’s just happened for last 5 days and i think before this issues arise the condition of charging is the same, so I don’t know why.
