I opened link from scam text. What happens now. Help

I received a text right after I had sent money via zelle on my pc to a friend and a text came on my iphone (what looked like it came from my bank) saying my account had been locked.

From what my bank tells me they do not send these kind of texts about accounts being locked so it had to be a hack?

What do I need to do now to make sure that my information if safe? I also cleared my data & history. Then I did a backup on icloud (which might have been a mistake? since now I have saved the virus or whatever? thanks for any help you can give me.

Hey there!

There is some info over at If you think your Apple ID has been compromised – Apple Support which may be of some help to you!

While it is unlikely that your phone has been compromised with a virus, it is certainly best to take precautions if you believe your Apple ID or bank details have been compromised.

Be sure to report the malicious message to your bank as well :)
