App icons changing

Did you add them from the website or the App Store? When I’ve added from Safari/websites, they have appeared that way. But not when I get them from the App Store. Only other thought is making sure the apps are updated, or weren’t paused in the middle of an update? I’ve seen the lack of logo during updates as well.

Those look like Safari bookmarks, no app icons.

How do you know they are app icons? Bookmarks on your Home screen are indistinguishable from app icons. If you tap on them do the apps open, or a web page?
