Is there any way to go back to the old version of iTunes?

I upgraded my Mac OS and got a new iTunes. The old one gave me control of my life. The new one seems to have been designed for running in the background without and sentient being involved. I want to have more control, but Apple has chosen to take control away and give me in exchange a limited set of choices. Is there any way to go back to the old version of iTunes. Baring that, is there another app that I can DL to give me what I had before?

Send your feedback to Apple > https://www.apple.com/feedback/

Alternatives: iMazing, Vox Music Player, and Musique, probably some others.

J,

If the inducements to sign up for the streaming service get annoying, you can disable them in Preferences, as pictured below. Other than that, Music as a music player has very few differences from iTunes. If you encounter a problem, pls post the specifics and perhaps a member of the community here can help.
