iPad Pro applecare replacement

I have an appointment with apple Genius Bar because I'm trying to get my iPad repaired under applecare+, would I need to be logged into my Apple ID even though I have findmyipad off and no lock code? or would I need it on so they can see my warranty details, etc?

For instructions on how to 'Get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ready for service' click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT201557

- "To protect your information and save time, follow these steps before you get service for your device."

I would just do as instructed in the article above. Make sure you know your Apple ID and password and take any documentation you have just in case they need to check a serial number or something.
