Apple M1 & Samsung 49" Curved Monitor CRG9

Hello, 

Back in Feb 2021 I opened this Apple Case ID: **********. I spoke to someone regarding my (and many others) issue regarding Apple M1 and Samsung 49" Curved Monitor CRG9. He could see that there is one engineer investigating this issue. Long story short .... has there been any any progress on this by now? 

It kind of ***** that the M1 can't make use of the 49" (5K - 5120x1440) monitor when (after upgrading to BigSur) I can use my old Intel based Macbook from 2017 and get full resolution .....

and I am not the only one .....
