Preview Keeps Freezing Since Updating to macOS Big Sur 11.3

I've updated to the latest macOS a week ago and since then my Preview app keeps freezing intermittently (when opening large files, opening a new file after one was already opened, highlighting text, scrolling, searching).

Any solutions to it while waiting for the next macOS update? I see some internet articles about deleting some files in Library, but those all pertain to issues with Preview from past operating systems, so I'm not so inclined to do those.

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you are having a intermittent issue with the Preview app freezing and we would like to help! Apple recently released a new updated macOS version (11.3.1) on Monday, 3 May, 2021. Please update the macOS to 11.3.1. Before you update make sure that you Back up your Mac with Time Machine first.
