MacBook Mail connection problem

I am running macOS 11.3. Following an update back in November i have been unable to get a connection to my iCloud through the Mail app. There is a warning triangle showing next to Inbox, when i click i get the following ...

"On-line Status - Connections to the server “p42-imap.mail.me.com” on the default ports timed out."

I have followed the guide in Mail Help and tried to manually enter port settings.

I can get into my mail using the web browser. Internet connection is stable, running around 60mbps download and 20mbps upload.

I have deleted/reinstalled my account from the MacBook without success.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey drewboy128,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand you're unable to access your iCloud email account through the Mail app on your Mac. We're happy to get you pointed in the right direction to assist.

It sounds like you've done quite a few things to help get this resolved. Take a look over this article too: If iCloud Mail isn't working. If you've also taken those steps already and the issue remains unresolved, you'll need the support of Apple directly. Use this link to connect with the Apple team: Get Support
