Hi Everybody - has anybody ever experienced debris coming out of the vent on the back of their iMac? I just returned from a 3-week vacation and since I've started up the iMac a fine debris has been coming from the vent. I don't hear any unusual noises or smells and haven't noticed any performance issues or over heating. Yet. But I don't think this is normal.
Updates:
I did notice a slight increase in fan noise later in the day but it never sounded strained or otherwise malfunctioning. Also, I powered down the iMac and vacuumed out the vent. Since doing so the fan sounds normal and no additional dust from the vent, so hopefully that fixed it. Still wondering what it was, tho.
I have never heard of that before.
