MacBook Pro water damage

Hi so I’ve had my laptop for 3 years and my dog apparently peed on it and I unplugged it and sipped it off but my mouse was acting up and then I shut it down and flipped it over and let it air dry for a hours and then I tried it again and then i turned it on and then I let it dry for a few more hours over night and then now it won’t turn on at all I charged it yes and the charger turns green light what should I do?

No much you can do but take it in for assessment / repair


In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"—

Be aware that Apple or any other provider may opt not to touch the computer due to the biological nature of the contamination. Best to call ahead regardless of who you use.


As it will likely be a total write-off, do not wait to contact your homeowners'/renters' insurance carrier. Pput them on notice of a potential loss. Such policies often cover accidental damage to your tech. That may be the only financial relief you get.
