iPad and Apple fitness metrics display

I have been using my iPad connected via HDMI cable to me smart TV to do my Apple Fitness workouts.

I updated my iPad to iOS 14.5. and now when I plug my iPad into my TV the workouts show, but the metrics have disappeared. I also noticed that the iPad screen goes to a black screen and says that the iPad is connected to the TV, where previously the workout would show on the iPad screen and the TV. No metrics are showing on the TV since the iOS 14.5 update. I don't want to have to buy Apple TV when I already have a an iPad. Not sure if the software was changed with the new update. Anyone notice this or know how to fix it?

Hi NicSurrey,

From our understanding, workout metrics are no longer showing on your Smart TV via your iPad, since updating to iPadOS 14.5. To see a list of devices you can use with Apple Fitness+, click here: Devices you can use with Apple Fitness+. iOS/iPadOS 14.5 gave the ability to stream audio and video content from Apple Fitness+ workouts to AirPlay 2-enabled TVs and devices, however onscreen metrics aren't available when using AirPlay.

Take care.
