steam folder does not have enough disk space

Trying to install Omnisphere for music production but near the end of the installation process it says "steam folder does not have enough disk space". I am confused on how to free up space in that folder without removing the contents needed to run the plugin.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15
