steam folder does not have enough disk space

Trying to install Omnisphere for music production but near the end of the installation process it says "steam folder does not have enough disk space". I am confused on how to free up space in that folder without removing the contents needed to run the plugin.

System Folder Overload Today I thought I would download an old game from Steam. It was in my Steam Library. I wanted to see if it would run on my new Macbook Air. The file size was about 60 gig. I had about 70 gig of free space. The download took a long time and stopped after about 95% was downloaded. A Steam message said the game was outdated and the download could not be completed. Well that obviously meant the game wasn't going to run on this computer. I wanted to reclaim all the space the game had taken up. Checking storage, I found that the System file was holding about 95 gig. So that's where the defective game was sitting. But I can't get at the System files to delete the game. How do I proceed? Thanks.

Is my Other storage space normal? So, I've been operating on around 3 GB of storage space for a while now, so I had to delete a lot of my applications. Now I'm at 12 GB. But, I showed this to my friends and they said that the "Other" category of storage space shouldn't be taking up so much space. It's 75.44 GB. I never thought much of it but it did seem kinda large. I understand what Other is but I don't know how to go about cleaning it or even know where to start finding a solution for it. I looked around in the Library folder and other system files but I didn't see anything that looked particularly OK to delete. How do I begin to reduce Other's storage space?

Hey there Trem777,

It appears you're unable to install a program due to another file taking up storage space on your Mac.

Based on the error message received you may have to check your overall disk storage and view the contents of the specific file manually. Take a look at the steps listed in the resource below.
