My attempts to access "Car Minder" app on my iPhone 8 has been rendered useless by the latest update. Is the any assistance available for this message I receive when trying to open the app? "Car minder needs to be updated - The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of iOS.

I've used this app for years and today at the gas station was just as disappointed as everyone else in this thread. I have years of records stored in there which I need.
I was able to access the raw data stored in SQL tables
The next step is to open that sqlite file on your computer. I used the free SQLiteBrowser software ( https://sqlitebrowser.org/ ) to open the file.
It helps to understand SQL and databases, however it's somewhat easy to decipher.
There are database tables and in these tables are rows of data.
table - car = list of your cars and their unique ID. You'll see that unique ID in the other tables
table - fillup = list of all your fill ups including date, gallon and price
table - record = list of service records. You need to match the data here with the "service" table
table - repair = list of repairs with description, date, and mileage
There are two other tables which you can ignore, sqlite_sequence and schema_info
It's worth noting the date fields are numbers. They are stored in the UNIX timestamp format. You can convert them (yes, one-by-one) using this online tool ( https://www.unixtimestamp.com/ )

I have 5 vehicles and used this for many years, I was shocked when I tries to access it and was unable to. I an understand apple needing to update and while it is the APP developers responsibility to update, Apple should let us know what apps may not work if we do update. Bad Apple.

I am having the same problem but the app I have is called Auto Care. I was able to find the sqlite file and copy it to my mac using the imazing software but seeing that it is not a carminder file, I can't view it. Any suggestions?
So I have a different app called Auto Care... I was able to follow your steps and copy the sqlite file over to my mac and then downloaded the SQLite Browser software... I believe all my info is there but have never worked with SQLite before... any tips at how to actually extract my car data so I can make sense of it? Thanks.
Thanks so much for this solution! While iMazing could not access carminder on the phone directly, it could access the database file from the backup easily. this web page made transfer of content to a new app relatively painless.
I just wanted to say thank you. The directions were clear and very easy to follow. I had eight years of data and five cars worth of records that I was afraid I'd lost for good. I haven't always been good about maintenance, but this app was the beginning of a change for the better for me many years ago. Thanks for helping me keep moving in the right direction with maintenance. I'd gotten discouraged by losing all my data, but now I can pick up right where I left off (and a little wiser about backups).

It is both tone-deaf and pathetic for the moderator to come up with such a weak, empathy-free response. What's the opposite of Customer Success and Advocacy? Oh yeah, it a response that says, in some many words, 'not our responsibility - redirect to someone else'. No effort raised.

This is a ridiculous answer. We can’t get a hold of the developer and Apple is holding our car maintenance data where we can’t get to it. We need this historical data!!!!

Isn’t there an emulator or some way to load this app and retrieve the data ?

At least a loaner device from Applestore to temporarily log in with old iOS and email data from app ?
Ok, so Apple isn’t holding the data but Apple made a change, not the developer and now I can’t get YEARS of car data I need. There needs to be some way I get the data.
This is an excuse or a reason. Not a solution.
What do you expect us to do for you? Apple isn't here. We are all users on this user to user only forum. None of us can help you.
