Zip Files and Books

How does one open and move to "Books" app a zip file that arrives via text as a zip attachment?

How does one share that file across Apple platforms, eg., ipad, MacBook, Iphone 12?

How do I stop Books opening PDF on ipad? I can't believe I'm asking such a basic question but sometimes iPads/iPhones try too hard to abstract absolutely everything. If I airdrop a file (any file) to an ipad then it should surely just drop to a local files folder. Which can then be easily shared or opened in any app I see fit. Instead, it drops into my 'Book' app and I can't do anything with it. i can't attach it to a Teams message, or browse to it from 'files' or even send to OneDrive. So, How can I stop Book from taking ownership of PDFs (or any other file for that matter),. Thanks

Files vs Books I download user manual to access and read them on my iPad. But now I have the option to download to files. I have older manuals that I need stored on the Books App. Which should I use, Files or Books? I seem to be unable to move files to Books nor able to move my older manuals in Books to Files.
