Swipe down to get Siri app suggestions does not work

I bought the new iPhone 12 recently and noticed that swipe down option on Home Screen to get Siri app suggestions does not work. It does, but momentarily and only after I restart my phone. My older iphone I frequently used the home screen swipe doen option to show my most recent used apps.

I’ve spoken to Apple support so many times, I’ve reset to factory settings, I’ve made sure Siri suggestion a is turned on and nothing seem to work.

Apple does not have a solution to this, does anyone know how to fix this?
