I am a Vice Principal of a school in Canada. Some of my teachers want to show documentaries from Apple TV+ in their classrooms. Is this allowed?

You really should contact Apple about this; not us on this user forum.
If no-one knows, then I suppose they tried to contact someone from the legal department, and failed there.
Several educational institutions in the US have websites that describe that they do not need public performance rights if an instructor is showing a commercially available film in class as part of the course curriculum to officially enrolled students in a classroom that is not open to others to attend. I.e. in special circumstances, you may not need anyone’s permission.
It may be similar in Canada, but I am not your lawyer.
I will do this - however, I thought the users here might know the answer - and it would be quicker than waiting on hold.
I'll post what I find out in case others are curious down the road.
I spent 30 minutes on hold off and on with the support team while they tried to get me an answer. At the end, no one knew.
