Music Folder set up for Itunes

I bought a new Mac Mini. I transferred my entire Music iTunes library (65 gb) from my iMac to an external hard drive then over to the new Mini. On the source iMac the number of songs indicated in the status bar was in excess of 15,000. The status bar in the new Mini only shows about 1,600. How do I access them all?
