Folders in Applications
I have found a number of folders with names like F8403T2L1-install-NKEpyu
Anyone know what they might be?

Your Mac's anti-Virus methodology ensures that NOTHING can become executable unless it is intact, unmodified, sandboxed, and approved by you. In recent version of MacOS, Applications folders are strictly controlled, and in the most recent, an entirely separate locked Volume is used to hold invariant parts of MacOS.
What any arbitrarily-named file or folder actually is, is not important. WHERE it is is vitally important.
So for assistance with this, please supply the COMPLETE directory-tree AND the name of the file.
these are "loose" in the Applications folder?
if so, drag them to the Trash.
If not, what is the name of each folder that encloses them?
They are all in my Application Folder. How do I find the complete directory tree?
They are literally just in that folder and each one is an apparently 'empty' folder. They have arrived in the last month. Happy to delete them all. Thank you very much
Yeah, I posted my soapboxing about how the Mac protects itself above.
Anything "loose" in the /Applications folder belongs in the trash.
