Is it ok to leave the ipad plugged in overnight?

Hi,

My wife usually leaves her ipad pro plugged in overnight and lets it charge to 100 percent. Will this have an effect on the battery? Is it ok to leave it plugged in even after it has been charged to 100 percent.
