Kernel panic loop after trying to go to El Capitan from Lion

I’m using a 2012 MacBook Air and was trying to update Mac OS X Lion to El Capitan but it an error popped up and said that some files are missing and said to restart the device after restarting it I tried to log in but when I do it goes into kernel panic over and over again and way to fix this?

Try booting Safe mode

If that does not work, then boot into the Recovery partition, or Internet Recover, where you get the Recovery mode code over the Internet directly from Apple
