Pressure sensitivity malfunction

My Apple pen goes crazy when using apps that are able to recognize pressure in Procreate and Notes: the line gets thinner and suddenly bold without adding pressure or lessen it! How can this problem be solved? Thank you for your help!

oOfranziskaOo,

We appreciate you updating us with this information.

As you see this is occurring with multiple apps, we'd recommend seeing if a replacement tip may help with the pressure sensitivity that is occurring.

If a replacement tip doesn't help, we'd recommend that you Contact Apple Support so they can look into this with you in more detail.

Cheers!

Good Afternoon oOfranziskaOo,

We see that you're having a problem with your Apple Pencil not recognizing the pressure for your lines with your iPad in specific apps, and we'd like to see how we can help with that.

Are you seeing that this is only occurring in the apps mentioned, or does this happen with any app used?

Have you been able to test the Apple Pencil with a different iPad to see if this occurs with that iPad as well? If not, can you try this to rule out the iPad being related to this occurring?

We'd recommend removing the Apple Pencil from the iPad to pair again to see if this clears up what you're seeing. For assistance with that, you'll want to go to Settings > Bluetooth to forget the connection. For assistance with pairing, we'd recommend checking out the following resource:

Connect Apple Pencil with your iPad

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Have a great day!
