when I try to send a voice note using siri on Imessage it sends an empty voice note and when I download the latest update adding to that when I say hey siri how is the weather it does not reply back it just shows the weather on the display and sometimes it says a couple of words and disconnects. Any help?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, Siri is not able to hear you when using "Hey Siri". Also, when you attempt to create a voice note in Messages, you are not hearing any sound during playback, do we have that right? It sounds like there may be something going on with the microphone on your iPhone. Does this happen if you bring Siri up by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button?
Try the steps here: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working and If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone or iPad.

You can also check Settings > Accessibility > Siri and make sure that "Type to Siri", is turned off. Also, do you notice if you get the voice feedback from Siri if you have your headphones in or if you are connected to a bluetooth speaker?

Thank you for that information. There is a setting in Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Responses, is that set "Always"?

The thing is it is an intermittent problem most of the time it does not work and sometimes it does regarding the messages and when it comes to asking about the weather for example it normally replies back in audio and it shows the weather chart on the display now it just shows the chart on the display and other times it says a word or two and disconnects, the mic is working fine

I tried them with my both headphones and my Bluetooth speakers and I get same results, type to siri is turned off.
