Sparse disk bundle weirdness in Big Sur
I've been using an encrypted sparse disk bundle as an extra drive on my Mac for several years. After upgrading to Big Surlast month (I skipped Catalina), I started noticing problems with files on the sparse disk bundle not opening ("<file name> can't be opened right not. The file format is invalid."), not being able to save, and not showing up in the Finder (or Terminal) when the disk image was mounted for a couple of hours. Also some custom folder icons disappear (folders showing their genetic icon).
I've created a fresh sparse disk bundle but that didn't help. (Force) ejecting the disk image and remounting it, usually does. However, I seem to have to eject and remount more frequently of late (about daily) which is getting pretty annoying.
It doesn't seem to make a difference if the disk image is formatted as HFS+ (Mac OS Extended) or APFS.
Has anyone had similar experiences with with sparse disk bundles under Big Sur?
