I think my IPad Pro may be broken

I was just doing iPad things on my iPad, when all of a sudden the entire screen turned magenta for a few seconds, then restarted. Shortly after I restarted, some magenta specks appearEd for half a second, then my iPad restarted again. I ignored it for a few hours, then when I plugged my in to charge, it suddenly made a weird nails on a chalkboard sound, the shut off. It took an annoyingly long time to start again, and then I noticed that the apple logo had a weird static texture on it. Is this bad, or is my iPad just weird? This started happening after I plugged into a specific outlet, and I was using the digital art app Procreate at the time.

You might begin with a forced restart of your iPad - as this will often resolve an isolated software problem:

If iPad isn’t responding, do one of the following:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

Note: If iPad still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen.

If the problem remains unresolved, you would be well advised to take your iPad and Power Adapter along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your devices.
