My calendar default alerts are set to none and when I set an event the alert looks to set as none, but once the add button is hit, and I check the event, a 30 min before alert is ready to go off (even though I had also selected none). My phone is up to date as is the app.
any solutions would be gratefully received.

It’s daft as this seems to have been an issue for years. Apple techs never seem to understand my problem, if there is a solution, it would probably only take seconds to implement, but to explain it to them would take hours! 😂

I’ve got the same issue. I turn off the alert, go back to it and it’s automatically turned back on. I’ve had to move to another calendar because of it.
Good to know I’m not alone, think I might do the same but have tried the majority of apps already, but have found I don’t like them unfortunately.
Have you found one you get on with yet?
i have to admit, just now I’m using the calendar on the work phone, a Samsung A32, and it works very well. I’ve tried direct contact with apple but I’ve not got anywhere constructive.
