family sharing notifications

I have gone through all the required steps in the support article and I still can’t get the Ask Permission to trigger a notification. I’m also not receiving the more time requested notifications. This defeats the purpose of family sharing, please help!

I am no longer getting any family sharing notifications when the request to purchase something I am no longer getting any family sharing notifications on my iphone from my childrens ipads. It was previously working when I first set everything up but now it is not. I have tried to troubleshoot the problem but nothing seems to rectify it.
