iPhone XR won't shut down

Does anyone know why my IPhone XR wont shut down or open any of my apps. I also cant answer calls

Did you try a hard reset?

Quickly press and release the Volume Up button.
Quickly press and release the Volume Down button.
Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears, then release the Side button.
