Why does Homeland Season 1 Episode 13 asks me to purchase it for $2.99 when I have a showtime subscription with apple tv channels??

Okay. This is very weird. After much persistence, I got Apple to give me a credit to buy the episode. Turns out, all but 3:10 minutes of Ep 13 overlaps with Ep 12. IMDb does not even show an S1, Ep13 exists. The 3:10 minutes is just one scene between Brody and his daughter, a very sweet one, actually.

I’m guessing that this really is Showtime’s screw up. It’s as if the original Season 1 finale was in two episodes but at some point they recut it to a single episode, dropping that one scene for length.

And yet, Apple originally said it was a Showtime issue and I’d have to contact them. Showtime said it was a subscription issue that goes through Apple so I’d have to talk to Apple. Classic. I did go back to Apple. Everyone involved thought it was weird and agreed I shouldn’t have to pay for the episode, but no one could do anything about it and pointed to the other party. Finally, it was my idea just to issue a credit. They spent way, way more than $2.99 on staff time to get to that result.
