I have an Ieee 1394 audio interface. What adapter(s) to convert Mac Mini thunderbolt 4 port?

Mac mini 2018 or later

It might be cheaper to just replace it with a new USB audio interface.

To connect that FireWire one to a new Mac Mini, you will need three adapters.

a USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter.
a Thunderbolt 2 to FireWire 800 adapter.
a FireWire 800 to 400 adapter.

Then you need to hope and pray, that it works with those adapters and new macOS.

Thanks for info. Adapter situation not as bad as it it seems, already had it adapted to a firwire port (mini-display? not} on my Mac laptop. Just adapted this firewire 800? to Usb C. For those in the same situation, THIS DOES NOT WORK or at least didn't for my system. Returned Apple adapter and ordered new interface (Presonus 68C).
