Drop down main menu on websites not working in safari on iphone 11

Currently running 14.5.1 on my iphone 11 and having trouble with several websites drop down menu, I accessed website on my husband's iphone 11 and drop down worked fine. What could be causing this problem

on my iphone 11, have deleted website data and history still does not fix problem. Also Javascript set to On . Any input appreciated

Recommended Sites On Safari Not Showing Up I opened the safari app on the iPhone XR (currently running IOS 12.3), and when I opened a new page it showed me everything except the recommended sites on safari (check the picture to see exactly what I mean). I then opened a new tab on safari and it then showed me the recommended sites on that tab. Is this a simple bug or something because I would like to have my recommended sites back. Edit: I’m thinking this page was opened up by another page and JavaScript stopped working there for some reason (possibly after I left the safari application), thus leaving me with this blank page with no suggested sites.
